FAQs
EU CUSTOMERS VAT RULES FROM JULY 1st 2021
New legislation came into effect as from July 1st 2021 whereby any goods of approximately £130 (subject to current conversion rates) and less sent to EU member states from the UK will be subject to VAT import duty, due to the UK leaving the EU. We unfortunately no longer support the IOSS scheme (Import One Stop Shop) as it was just not viable for our site. EU member state buyers wishing to purchase AFPD Shop goods (prints, cards etc) of £130 or less can email us at info@artistsforpainteddogs.com for more information on how to purchase.
Any originals purchased of £130 or less will be subject to DDU tax/VAT duties on delivery to EU member States.
Any goods above £130 bought on our website will be subject to the normal VAT/Import duty on delivery as has always been within the EU.
Packing and Postage (P&P)
Original artwork prices quoted do not include the cost of post and packing (which will be charged at cost). Original artwork will be sent directly from the artist. Please check each page carefully as our artists are based all around the world. Once you have paid for your item through the AfPD website the artist will contact you to advise the cost of shipping your purchase to you. These costs must be paid directly to the artist before your item will be sent. Please be aware that due to COVID-19 freight costs have increased considerably.
AFPD Shop shipments will be sent once a week. Due to Royal Mail Strikes, delays may occur in shipping times as we use their service. If you do not hear from us within three weeks of your purchase date, please contact us.
Purchasing multiple items
If you would like to purchase three or more items, please contact us before placing your order as we may be able to combine postage (depending on what you wish to buy) and reduce the costs for you. Please email info@artistsforpainteddogs.com
Currency
Payments for all products on our site are set to pounds sterling, overseas browsers/devices should have this in your local currency if that is what you have them set to. Payment for package and postage for original artwork will be in the local currency of the artist, or at their preferred discretion.
Our prints should always be put behind a mount/matt to help protect them and professionally framed wherever possible as specific framing tape is needed to place the print within the mount/matt (Filmoplast P90 Art-No. 25454). Ideally this should be done by a professional framer such as:
Bramley Framing - Professional Framing Services
Both can frame any of our prints for you. Alternatively, ready made mounts/mats and frames can be purchased online, our A4 prints will fit into a ‘for A4 mount’ please see:
This mount will then fit into any ready-made 12” x 16” frame widely available over the net. Please ensure however that the 12” x 16” size is the APERTURE of the frame - the space opening at the back of the frame where the mount will sit – and NOT the total frame outside dimensions. See here for an example frame:

10” x 8” prints will fit into a ‘for 10 x 8 mount’/please see:
This mount will then fit into any ready-made 10” x 12” frame widely available over the net.
8" x 8" prints will fit into a 'for 8" x 8" frame and mount, see here for an example frame:
