Beautiful gothic ‘Leucochlaena oditis’ - Nationally Scarce and the Raven
In the British Isles this moth only occurs in Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Hampshire and Kent. Its national stronghold is Devon, where it is known from eight sites on the south coast (Atlas of Britain and Ireland’s larger moths 2020). We have a wonderful family of Ravens living close to our house. I could watch their antics for ages! This inquisitive fella is dreaming during a magical night and a big ole beautiful full moon.
