Diptych - Charcoal on Fine Art Paper
H76 x W57cm each (unframed)
In this piece I wanted to try and capture the dynamism of a painted dog hunt. Removing the background to focus on predator and prey, I tried to capture the intensity of this race for life. By turning the piece into a diptych helped focus on each subject individually and let them stand alone as individual artworks. The separation also creates a tension in the viewer's mind as to how close this deadly race is to a conclusion. Is it the painted dog or Impala who has the upper hand?
