"I want to leave the purely human way of experiencing the world behind and change perspective; I want to observe our non-human cohabitants and the environment that we share."

BA in Printmaking and Fine Art from Muthesius Hochschule, Kiel, and Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam. 14 years of city life in Amsterdam were followed by extensive travels in Southern Africa and a working period at Penduka Foundation in Katutura township, Windhoek (Namibia). After returning to Europe I first moved into the Alpine foothills and then into the volcanic hills of the Eifel countryside.

Over the years, my large scale embroideries, drawings and watercolours have been shown in various exhibitions. Art prints were purchased by international NGOs to be auctioned during fundraising events for nature and wildlife conservation projects. Also, I was honoured to design a shirt for a German volunteer project that focuses on ecological conservation and the protection of rhinos in a remote part of Greater Kruger National Park (South Africa). My quirky pet portraits, as well as smaller embroideries in elegant birch hoops, on cushion covers and on table linen have been purchased by private clients. Commissions for tattoo designs featuring various animals and plants are always a particular highlight.

To sum up my inspiration with a quote by Sir David Attenborough: "It seems to me that the natural world is the greatest source of excitement; the greatest source of visual beauty; the greatest source of intellectual interest. It is the greatest source of so much in life that makes life worth living."
